But was there enough weird, icky, shady, questionable, frustrating, “this feels off” things that led us to step back? Yep.

Recently, I asked a Minneapolis-based pastor what they're focusing on at their church right now and she said, "Humaning Skills".

My experience of the immigrant community changed when I took a part time job at a bilingual church a few years ago.

What if we normalized doubt in the church? What if we gave uncertainty a seat at the table?

JESUS: Erika Kirk forgiving her husband’s killer and saying, “hate is not the answer” NOT JESUS: The Leader of our nation saying, “I hate my opponents and I don’t want what’s best for them”

For JesusFit, Pride allows us to come alongside the LGBTQ+ community to not only listen, learn, and love but to proudly proclaim the following truths: You are enough. You belong. You have value. And there is always a place for you at the table.

For all of these reasons and more, play can be such a powerful spiritual practice. 

Water mattered to Jesus. It’s why our JesusFit logo is a water bottle. Because like water’s essential nature, healing properties and sustaining power… we’re convinced spiritual practices play a similar role in our lives. For us, Abundant Curiosity is one of those practices.

One of the most significant questions I began to ask was, “Is it possible I’m wrong?”

Through vulnerable and goofy moments, Beer Church has been this amazing community in my life. 

There’s a new church in town, but it doesn’t have a building, a pastor or a worship service.
