keith long
“Brave. Genuine. Radically honest. Boundary breaking. Sincere soul searcher… These are just a few words that come to mind when I think of Keith Long. Keith is a Lutheran Pastor (ELCA) in the Twin Cities, MN and has been on a journey of questions for as long as I’ve known him. Fully unafraid of spiritual doubts and detours, Keith is a rare soul (and an amazing friend) whose courage, curiosity and vulnerability have never ceased to inspire me. If I had to choose one pastor to have a beer with and ask anything, it would be Keith. P.S. If you enjoyed this intro, you need to check out Keith’s book, Doubting Faithfully: Confessions of a Skeptical Pastor.”

john nielsen
“Meet John Nielsen, a deep thinking intellectual with a bone-dry sense of humor and a fierce love for the guitar, the Green Bay Packers, obscure Bible stories, and some dude named “Carl” who is relentlessly mentioned in John’s jokes and anecdotes. Mr. Nielsen may be a real estate lawyer by day (and probably a damn good one at that), but I bet in an alternate timeline John is living large as a stand-up comedy superstar—because he is a gifted writer, insightfully hilarious, and such a natural with a microphone. Most of all, I’m looking forward to John bringing his down-to-earth curiosity to Question Church where his leadership is sure to shine (just as long as he isn’t exposed to any cold and wintry weather which he loathes with the intensity of a thousand burning suns.) So if you also find yourself sick and tired of being stuck with the conventional Church and its closed-minded thinking, dogmatic certainties or blasé beliefs, know that John is a kindred spirit.”

bryan willkom
“As someone who has eaten gas station burritos with Bryan before he turned twenty, I can tell you he has always been this engaging and charismatic. Keith likes to talk about the time he jumped off a bridge into a river, but Bryan Willkom might be the only person who could get me to do something that crazy. Bryan has seen about every corner of the American church world: Catholicism during his childhood, college, and as a young minister in adulthood; evangelical ministries like Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) and a Christian camp in Texas; a Lutheran church with a bent toward modern mass appeal; and his own non-traditional spirituality groups with JesusFit. He's somehow managed to come out of it all without losing his sense of wonder and hope, jaded just enough to be wise but with energy left to fuel his desire to serve others. Few people on this earth can seamlessly combine running on a trail with an ancient religious figure, but Bryan has done that and more with his usual blend of laughter, good nature, integrity, love, and open mindedness. We couldn't ask for a better leader and facilitator to help make a place that's safe but also fun.”
